| I'm closing my blog down, cos I've nothing much to blog about. I'm moving over to greener pastures as soon as I get me new blog set up! Hahah. Will relink everyone! To everyone on my tag board, I will update soon over at the other blog once I get it up and going!
I know, I'm such an ass right, for moving around and relinking people and making people relink me. But obviously, I enjoy being an ass. Hahahah.
So get over it already. :D

| so much hype has been made about earth hour whereby from a certain time (8:30pm i think) most or all of our house electrical appliances should be switched off in support of saving our Earth. for one hour. i personally think this is a complete waste of time.
don't judge me, listen.
what this publicity stunt basically hopes to achieve is the awareness raised on our consumption of electricity and the damage it is doing to Earth. AWARENESS. nothing more. you may say that if a billion homes decide to follow it, we will still save electricity, its the thought that counts and blah blah. thats a fallacy of assumption. sure the thought does count, but one thing is for certain is that we will not be saving any electricity. power plants would still hv to generate their electricity or it would mean taking a longer time to restart their generators. which is not cost effective. so what this means is that the electricity that you so called "SAVED" is still being produced and NOT CONSUMED. there is no difference if you use your electricity or not, it will still be produced. should we just let the electricity produced go to waste? not for me.
point number 2, and this i got it off another website. candles. if we were to follow Earth Hour carefully, it would mean that we have to switch off all appliances, lights, fans etc. so certainly some where in the world, lets say america. if 1/5 of the entire american population decided to use candles as a light source instead of batteries or none at all (that would be the remaining 4/5). this would mean an extraordinary amount of carbon dioxide being released in the air. (burning of oxygen leads to release of carbon dioxide blah blah blah. i forgot what exactly happens. :P) this is added on to the amount of fossil fuels being used by power plants that are still generating electricity. the amount of greenhouse gases released would hurt our Earth MORE than usual because of this Earth Hour publicity act.
i've got to make it clear though, i am NOT against preserving our Earth. i'm just slightly irked at the fact that there are worldwide "movements to save our earth" that actually harm instead of do good. another classic example would be LIVE EARTH. if i rmb correctly. if anyone is really concerned about doing something for the Earth. just do your part. don't bother about these events or whatever you call it the media is hyping up. i say PFT.
haha i didnt really hv much else to blog about anyway. | | |
| it has been really bad. these past few days. serious lack of sleep. from selangor open till now, things happening has been really...off? its juz stuff that would not normally happen happened. and even so i'm not sure if its a sign of things to come and so on. results were out 2dae, and i honestly think the system calculated wrongly or sth. but who am i to comment. gonna go see it for myself on monday. appeal that is. i'm not sad about my results, juz inquisitive.
should i ease off my fencing?
hong kong open was great. could have done better, but i'm satisfied. after a fairly average poules. 5-0, 5-1, 5-2, 5-3, 1-5 (zomg this particular bout was bad). when the rankings came out i was 24. which considering it was hong kong open wasnt that bad. but satisfied to say i got 9th! woo~~ oh btw the hotel we stayed in was darn cramped. i think its abt the size of my room. maybe SLIGHTLY bigger, and it was meant to fit 3 ppl. ate ALOT of dim sum. and met up with jephine's friend, juliette. went to the arcade one night and there was this darn addictive game where we had to throw a coin on a slippery table and rest some where within a target and....aiya i dunno lah its juz hard to win and we spent a bomb on that game.
selangor open was mixed. results wise it was really bad. but everything else was great. lost to some random guy in poules from ampang 5-4. and the final silver medallist from thailand 5-2. man that was not my day. managed to get out on sunday and went over to wangsa maju. ironically i thought i was gonna be uber late but i was like the earliest there. took a 40RM cab down from shah alam to WM. its was a pretty long ride even there was no jam. the distance is like from junrong west to changi airport. about that far, perhaps further. ANYWAY. the sad thing was that most of the youths and ppl did not go to church that day. i dunno why. hahah, some went on hols but the others juz went MIA. ah well. finally managed to pass jun ning her stuff from dunno how long. haha but i forgot to bring my own gift. retarded innit. but anyways after that they brought me to some shopping mall. whats it name again? i really can't rmb. subang plaza i think. but anyway, it was real fun. SERIOUSLY NING. :D hahah. when we were going back to singapore. the bus driver must have been on crack or sth cos he was driving REALLY fast. we reached yong peng abt 2 hours or so after leaving the hotel.
finally envoys leadership camp. ITS DARN TIRING. sleep was kept to a minimal. like 4-5 hours max. for both days. combined. LOL
been sleeping ALOT after the camp. at least half my day have been spent on sleeping.
i need more music!!! | | |
